'Discomfort' is the third painting of my floral series, a collection in which I fully embraced painting largely, freely, and loudly. In this process, this was painted to honor the feelings I was experiencing at the moment: anxiety and the need to control. This piece illustrates my relationship with anxiety and how it can exist in a beautiful way despite its stereotypically negative associations.
